Ryzumvi – Pupil Dilation reversal

 

 

Dilation is an incredibly important and irreplaceable part of a thorough comprehensive eye exam for all ages. However, that does not change the fact that the effects after dilation are an annoyance at best! for 4-6 hours you can expect for your near vision to be blurry and out of focus, as well as being much more light sensitive.

That is why we are excited to now offer Ryzumvi eye drops at our office as a dilation reversal. After your dilated comprehensive exam, the doctor will instill 1-2 drops of Ryzumvi into each eye, and in 1 hours time, the effects of your dilation should be totally resolved!

Two things to be aware of- 1. while dilation is part of the exam at no additional charge; Ryzumvi is a $25 additional cost should you request dilation reversal. 2. In 10% of patients, some redness and gritty feeling were reported- which would be the only potential side effect.
